6 + 2 = 8
The amount of syrup per the whole mixture is 2/8, or 1/4
Your remove 2, or 1/4 of the whole thing.
So, remove 1/4 of the milk, and <em>1/4 </em><em>of the syrup
</em>
<em />2*(1/4) = 1/2
2 - (1/2) = 1(1/2)

You have 1 and a half remaining.

Convert 3 qt/min to gallons per hour.<br> 45 gal/h<br> 12 gal/h<br> 180 gal/h<br> 4.5 gal/h
Maslowich

Given:

3 qt/min

To find:

The conversion of 3 qt/min to gallons per hour.

Solution:

We know that,

1 quart = 0.25 gallons

60 minutes = 1 hour

1 minute = \dfrac{1}{60} hour

Using these conversions, we get

3 \dfrac{qt}{min}=\dfrac{3\times 0.25}{\dfrac{1}{60}}\ \dfrac{gal}{h}

3 \dfrac{qt}{min}=3\times 60\times 0.25\ \dfrac{gal}{h}

3\ qt/min=45\ gal/h

Therefore, the correct option is A.
