Answer:

The answer to the question: For common people in England, the colonies offered:____, would be: More land and more jobs.

Explanation:

It cannot be forgotten that what motivated English people to migrate towards the newly claimed American land was, one, to escape religious persecution in their homeland, but also, the hope of finding a new life, and starting fresh. America was bsically an entire continental landmass that to them became like the synonym of new life, new chance, new start. And of course, as the colonies developed, and more and more people settled, they became almost an assurance of the chance of getting land to start anew, with lesser costs and lesser stress than in England, and the chance of creating new job opportunities.

Explain how checks and balances work in our government. In other words, provide a NEW example of how that might work
Leokris [45]

Answer:

Checks and balances work in our government by ensuring that each branch (legislative, executive, and judicial) is equally as powerful as the other branches. An example of this would be the president having a check over the legislative branch through the power of a veto.

What event finally caused the United States to enter World War 1
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]
America originally desired to remain neutral in WWI. However through submarine warfare, the Germans sunk the British Lusitania cruise, which contained American passengers. The US President Woodrow Wilson still remained neutral however, the US intercepted a telegraph from Germany to Mexico that implored Mexico to attack the US. The Germans were fearful of US entry and tried to distract the US, and this telegraph became known as the Zimmerman Telegraph. Afterwards, the US finally entered war on the Allied side.
