The radical republicans were about justice, not healing. They wanted equal rights for blacks, to continue the freedman's bureau, and to punish the south. This was during the years of congressional reconstruction, 1865-1867. President Andrew Johnson was more into healing the country (as he was racist), during the years of 1864-1865.
Simply, the working conditions were terrible during the industrial revolution<span>. As factories were being built, businesses were in need of workers. With a long line of people willing to work, employers could set wages as low as they wanted because people were willing to do work as long as they got paid.</span>
Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla was a Mexican Roman Catholic priest and key figure in the Mexican War of Independence (1810–21). Hidalgo is best remembered for his speech, the “Grito de Dolores” (“Cry of Dolores”), which called for the end of Spanish colonial rule in Mexico.
