Use the Pythagorean theorem:
(\hbox{leg})^2+(\hbox{leg})^2=(\hbox{hypotenuse})^2 \\
10^2+10^2=x^2 \\
100+100=x^2 \\
x^2=200 \\
x=\sqrt{200} \\
x \approx 14.1

The length of the hypotenuse is approximately 14.1 in.

Hello plz help I have 5 F’s
brilliants [131]

I can understand why it might be tough, so I'm here to help.

Translation is as simple as moving the points as told.

For example, do you see where point T currently resides? From there you'd move it 4 units to the left and 5 down, where it'd end up at (-4,-3). Now do the same for every point.

Point T would end up at (-4,-3)

Point S would end up at (-2,-2)

Point R would end up at (0,-3)

Solve the system y = 3x + 2 and 3y = 9x + 6 by using graph paper or graphing technology. What is the solution to the system? (2
Monica [59]

Answer:

The system has infinite solutions

Step-by-step explanation:

Notice that the 2nd eq can be written as y=3x+2, exactly the same first equation, so it doesnt give anything to solve it

You can see the attached picture represents the eq. 1

The second eq. is also represented in that picture, just it doenst seems, because it is hide under the first

Please help me with this question and my next one!
Nookie1986 [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

If the price is linear, then the slope between each pair of points must be the same.

m = Δy/Δx

m = (150 - 70) / (5 - 1) = 20

m = (450 - 150) / (20 - 5) = 20

m = (1050 - 450) / (50 - 20) = 20

So the equation is indeed linear.  It has a slope of 20 and y-intercept of 50.

p = 20n + 50
