When the movies were $2.95 a month, she rented 10, meaning she spent $29.50 (2.95 * 10)
She then rented two fewer movies, meaning she rented 10-2 which equals 8, and spent $27.60 (3.45 * 8)
She then cut the number of movies rented in half 8/2 which equals 4, and spent $17.80 (4.45 * 4)
So she now rents 4 movies per month, and spends $17.80
Hope this helps!

Describe the businesses of newcomers Alexander McSween and Henry Tunstall.
snow_lady [41]

Henry Tunstall emigrated to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada in 1872, where he worked at the Turner, Beeton & Tunstall, a business in which his father was a partner. Four years later; however, Tunstall moved to the United States with thoughts of becoming a sheep rancher. He first investigated land in California but soon headed to New Mexico, where land was more affordable. He first arrived in Santa Fe, where he met a Lincoln County lawyer and cattle rancher named Alexander McSween. After talking to McSween, Tunstall was convinced that there were profits to be made in Lincoln County and soon began ranching there.

Who symbolizes the Mother Country?
Andrej [43]

Answer:

The 'mother country' to Brewster and Robinson was, of course, England and that was generally what was meant when the phrase came into use in the USA. They didn't coin the phrase themselves but probably read it in the works of a prominent Puritan of the day - Arthur Golding.
