Juliette [100K]

Answer:

In 1900, what became known as the Boxer Rebellion, a Chinese secret organization called the Society of the Righteous and Harmonious Fists led an uprising in northern China against the spread of Western and Japanese influence there. The rebels, referred to by Westerners as Boxers because they performed physical exercises they believed would make them able to withstand bullets, killed foreigners and Chinese Christians and destroyed foreign property. From June to August, the Boxers besieged the foreign district of Beijing, China’s capital, until an international force that included American troops subdued the uprising. By the terms of the Boxer Protocol, which officially ended the rebellion in 1901, China agreed to pay more than $330 million in reparations.

How does the second amendment make the country more democratic?
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:

Firstly, the 2nd Amendment was originally designed for the people to defend themselves against a possible dictatorship where the citizens could possibly overthrow the govt.

Secondly, a democracy shows that the power is held within the people..they elect their officials and such

So, if you put the two together, the second amendment makes the country more democratic because the power is held by the people because they can overthrow the govt with their arms
