Animals with radial symmetry are  divided into approximately equal halves when any plane divides it by the central axis. These animals have two embryonic tissue layers or germ layers. One layer is internal and is called endoderm and the other is external and is called ectoderm.

Examples of this symmetry are jellyfish and anemones. They are organisms that have a central axis around which similar parts of their body come out.
