Answer:0.0869 %

Explanation:

Given

probability of getting success is 50 % i.e. 0.5

So probability of missing the throw is 0.5

For 20 shots probability that he can score five baskets

Using Binomial distribution

^nC_r=\frac{n!}{\left ( n-r\right )!\left ( r\right )!}

here n=20

p=0.5 (Probability of winning)

q=0.5 (Probability of loosing)

for r=5

^20C_5\left ( 0.5\right )^5\left ( 0.5\right )^{15}=\frac{20!}{\left ( 20-5\right )!\left ( 5\right )!}\times \left ( 0.5\right )^5\left ( 0.5\right )^{15}

=19\times 6\times 4\times 2\times 0.5^20=0.0008697

i.e. 0.0869 %

In one application of aversive conditioning, alcohol is paired with a drug that induces vomiting. Which of the following alterna
ddd [48]

Answer:

d. Both A and C

Explanation:

Classical Conditioning is <em>a learning strategy in which a person associates a stimulus that was previously neutral and results in a learned response.</em> This stimulus may be natural or unconditional because it automatically starts a response; or it may be conditional, that is, a previously neutral stimulus that now becomes associated with the unconditioned stimulus now starts a conditioned response.

In this scenario, the alcohol plus the drug (stimuli) induce vomiting (response). Therefore, the <u>conditioned stimulus is alcohol</u>, a previously neutral  stimulus that becomes associated with the <u>drug, an unconditioned stimulus</u> which, in conjunction, <u>trigger a response: vomiting</u>.

Give three processes that may cause tectonic plates to move
madam [21]
Thermal Convection, ridge push and slab pull are believed to be the processes that cause plate tectonics to move. Thermal convection is a process when the core of the Earth’s heat is transferred to Earth’s surface by mantle. Ridge push is when the mantle wells upward due to convection and raises the edge of spreading oceanic plates. Since the plates are higher at the spreading center, they are forced downhill because of gravity as a result, the ocean floor is flatten. Slab pull is the part of tectonic plates’ motion which can be accounted for through its subduction.
