I would say the two goals are developing humane treatment for the mentally ill and establishing hospitals for the mentally ill. Dorothea saw the terrible living conditions of the mentally ill and started a reform to fix them because they were treated terribly. They were abused and found playing with rats etc.

Why did some African leaders believe that African socialism would work better than a European model? What problems arose
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

At independence, African countries had to decide what type of state to put in place, and between 1950 and the mid-1980s, thirty-five of Africa's countries adopted socialism at some point. The leaders of these countries believed socialism offered their best chance to overcome the many obstacles these new states faced at independence. Initially, African leaders created new, hybrid versions of socialism, known as African socialism, but by the 1970s, several states turned to the more orthodox notion of socialism, known as scientific socialism. What was the appeal of socialism in Africa, and what made African socialism different from scientific socialism?

Why did the British introduce the tank in World War I?
lisov135 [29]

Answer:

They hoped to break the stalemate by successfully conquering No Man's Land.

Explanation:

The British introduced the tank in World War 1 because they hoped to break the stalemate by successfully conquering No Man's Land. Option C is correct.

Tanks were used for the first time during the Battle of the Somme in 1916.  The British turned to tanks as one way to cross the No Man`s Land and break through the enemy trench system.

The name 'tank' came from British attempts to ensure the secrecy of the new weapons under the guise of water tanks. Britain used tanks in combat for the first time in the Battle of Flers-Courcelette on 15 September 1916.
