The right answer is the D: Three quatrains and a couplet. This is an example of a sonnet. It features, on the one hand, three quatrains, or four-line stanzas rhyming ABBA. This type of rhyme is called envelope or enclosed:

<em>Whoso..... HIND</em> (A)

<em>But.... MORE</em> (B)

<em>The vain... SORE</em> (B)

<em>I am... BEHIND</em> (A)

On the other hand, it features a couplet, which is a pair of successive rhyming lines:

<em>"Noli... AM </em>(C)

<em>And... TAME</em> (C)

How does wheatley's use of sable impact the tone of on being brought from africa to america
rosijanka [135]

The excerpt given above is taken from Phillis Wheatley's poem "On Being Brought from Africa to America". The word sable literally means color black. In this line, Wheatley uses the word "sable" to indicate sense of inferiority. The author is an African and their race color is different from the rest.

How do Tom and Daisy feel about race? Why does Fitzgerald include this information? What does this say about the context of thei
Lelechka [254]
Tom feels like he is of the "superior" race. He explains a book that he read that says that if they don't watch out, the white race will be "submerged" in just a matter of years. Clearly he believes that as a white man he is of the dominant race, and the fact that there is a book published about it and he can freely say these things shows that many people in society are of the same mind.
Some people today still think this way, although it is socially not acceptable to say it or act like it. Fitzgerald probably included this information to show how opinionated Tom is and set the tone of society at the time.
