First we must construct an equation to model the problem. (In this case we will use an inequality instead) This is what I came up with:
         450.20+0.15s>=600.10

This equation shows how if her base earnings ($450.20) are added to 15% of her sales, represented by s, then the total will be greater than or equal to $600.10
Next, we simply solve for s. (steps shown below)

1) 450.20+0.15s>=600.10 (simply restating the inequality)
2) 0.15s>=149.90 (here I isolated the variable)
3)0.15s/0.15>=149.90/0.15 (Finally I solve for s by dividing both sides by 0.15, this will isolate s on the left and leave the answer on the right)
4) s>=999.33... (here I found the total sales the salesperson would need to reach his/her goal of earning a minimum of $600.10; the 3's after the decimal are repeating so in the next step I will round up to the nearest hundredth (b/c this is what money is rounded to and if I round down he/she would make less than her goal. This means i must round up.))
5) s>=999.34 (simple rounding; once again I rounded up b/c rounding down would slightly bring the total earnings to less than the goal)

Therefore, the salesperson would need his/her sales to be $999.34 in order for his/her total earnings for the week to be at least $600.10 (greater than or equal to $600.10)

Hope this helped!

Answer:

45 km^2 (C)

Step-by-step explanation:

Isolate the smaller square -

We only need two side lengths, take 3km and 3km.

3×3 = 9km^2, that's the area of the smaller square.

Isolate the larger square -

Take 6km and the other 6km

6×6 = 36km^2

Add the square's areas together to get the whole area -

36 + 9 = 45km^2

All you need to do to solve these problems is to isolate the shapes and find their area's, and finally add them together.

Why is -csc^2 (pi/4) = -2 ?
sweet-ann [11.9K]
Sin(pi/4) = 1/sqrt(2)
csc(pi/4) = sqrt(2)
csc^2(pi/4) = 2

The label on the car's antifreeze container claims to protect the car between −30°C and 130°C. To covert Celsius temperature to
jonny [76]

Answer:

-22°F < x < 266°F.

Step-by-step explanation:

The question states the incorrect formula to convert the Celsius temperature (C) into the Fahrenheit temperature (F). The correct one is given by:

F = 9C/5 + 32.

The given temperature inequality in Celsius is:

-30°C < x < 130°C; where x is any number that satisfies the inequality.

To convert it into Fahrenheit, simply plug in the values in the above formula.

Lower Limit:

F = 9(-30)/5 + 32.

F = -54 + 32.

F = -22°F.

Upper Limit:

F = 9(130)/5 + 32.

F = 234 + 32.

F = 266°F.

Therefore, the inequality will be -22°F < x < 266°F!!!
