As our global population rises; so does our appetite for protein. Our meat consumption habits take a serious toll on the environ
TiliK225 [7]

Environmental impacts of increased protein consumption

Explanation:

Protein is a major macronutrient that helps in body building and present more in animal sources. Hence increase in population raises the demand for more protein based foods. So, there is a huge increase in animal farming.

Animal farming directly impacts the environment as it is one of the major causes of global warming and environmental pollution.

Grazing is a common feeding method for farming animals and this reduces the greenery of vast lands which can store more carbon. Thereby these animals affect the carbon footprint.

Next, farm animals release a lot of methane in their waste products. Methane is one of the major greenhouse gases and increases global warming.

Moreover, animal waste effluents pollute the surrounding natural land and water sources with contaminants including harmful pathogens.

How do chloroplasts multiply?
lana [24]
They contain their own DNA in the form of a circular plasmid which encodes some - but not all - of the molecules needed for chloroplast function.. It is theorized that this is the DNA from the free-living photosynthetic prokaryote that became an endosymbiont and then an organelle. This theory, The Endosymbiotic Theory, is widely accepted as a plausible explanation for the evolution of organelles.
