Po valley is an area in the North of Italy. It is known as the most productive part of Agriculture due to its rainfall being fairly evenly distributed throughout the year.
Water is very important in Agriculture and the major source of water is rainfall. Water helps in the optimal growth of crops and as a major substrate in photosynthesis. Water being evenly distributed in the region means planting can occur all year round which makes the Po valley the most productive.
