Becuase writing was one of the only ways of communication. When you have to pay for a stamp, that makes your way of communication limited. It would be like if you had to pay a dollar for every text you send. It makes it annoying and unreasonable. Hope this helps!

What is a potential negative effect of an expansionary policy?
Andrei [34K]

Answer:

Increased Inflation.,

Cutting interest rates isn’t guaranteed to cause a strong economic recovery. Expansionary monetary policy may fail under certain conditions.

If confidence is very low, then people may not want to invest or spend, despite lower interest rates.

In a credit crunch, banks may not have funds to lend, therefore although the Central Bank cuts base rates, it is still difficult to get a loan from a bank.

Commercial banks may not pass the base rate cut on.

What impact did technology have on westward movement?
saul85 [17]

Answer:

Inventions helped determine the very shape of the West. The telegraph instantly connected Americans across thousands of miles; railroads killed some towns and gave birth to others; the gun quickly established the settlers' dominance over the country; and barbed wire created vast ranching empires.
