Mathematics

Because of PEMDA's(Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition) we do what's within the parenthesis first.
So 5 - 3 is 2.
So now we're left with 42 divided by 2 and that is 21.
Hope this helps :)

You do 5-3 and you get 2 then divide 42 by 2 and your answer is 21

The highest common factor of two DIFFERENT numbers 21 and Δ is 21.
nadezda [96]

Step-by-step explanation:

it is a multiple of 21.

the highest common factor of 2 numbers is the longest combination of prime factors they have in common.

the prime factors of 21 are simply

3×7

if another number A shares this as the longest combination of prime factors, that means it contains 3×7 itself in its prime factors.

and that means this number A can only be a multiple of 3×7 (= 21), as other prime factors present would be the factor of 21.

Find (f^-1)'(7) without finding the inverse function where f(x) = 5 – 2x^3.
faltersainse [42]

Step-by-step explanation:

the derivative of an inverse function is

1/f'(f^-1(x))

f'(x) = -6x²

f^-1(7) is solving the original function equation for x under the knowledge that y = 7

7 = 5 - 2x³

2 = -2x³

-1 = x³

=>

x = -1

f'(-1) = -6×(-1)² = -6×1 = -6

so,

(f^-1)'(7) = -1/6
