If u work it out and both sides don't equal, then there is no solution.
Example :
2x + 4 = 2x + 6
2x - 2x = 6 - 4
0 = 2....this is incorrect...therefore, there is no solution

If $b^{2} -4ac\ \textless \ 0$ then the equation has no real solutions
Even simultaneous equations can have no solutions
$ax+by=c------1$
$ax+by=d------2$
I these two equations the two expressions equal different things, so the equation has no solutions
