Were expelled from their homes because of their religion.

Further Explanation:

Salzburger Emigrants were the group of German-speaking Protestant from Archbishopric of Salzburg. This place is now in Austria, who immigrated to Georgia Colony in 1734 to escape the religious persecution. The group was expelled from their homeland by Count Leopold Anton. On 31st October 1731, he issued the Edict of Expulsion that demanded from Salzburg Protestants to retract their faith. Samuel Urisperger was the leader of the society that demanded promotion of the Christian knowledge called King George II for the help. The Lutheran King gave them refugee in the Georgia colony. This town later became Ebenezer. Initially, Salzburger experienced obstacles in establishing their community. Nearly 30 people died because of dysentery and newborn child died within a month. The settlement was far inland and they have little access to the waterways that rendered the land infertile. Then they relocated their alliance with the Trustees who gave them financial support for sustaining them. Salzburger would fail if they did not settle the community again. In 1736, Boltzius was capable to secure the new settlement after negotiating with Oglethorpe. They resettled above the Savannah River. The community was called New Ebenezer.

What role do you think geography or climate played in forming some Vedic/Hindu beliefs, such as reincarnation?
pentagon [3]

Answer:

Hinduism constitutes an extremely intricate religion upon which a single definition cannot be composed. The premier feature of this religion is the vast diversification of beliefs and rituals among its adherents. Furthermore, Hinduism can be perceived as either polytheistic or monotheistic in nature. Although this religion substantially lacks organization, it has impressively maintained its existence throughout history.

Founded: Hinduism was created through the intermixing to two distinct cultures involving the Aryans and the Indus Valley civilization. At about 1500 BCE, the Aryan invaded India and imposed their religious themes on the Indian natives. Ultimately, the Aryan religion absorbed the rituals of the natives and was eventually transformed into Hinduism.

Adherents: Most Hindus are Indians or of Indian extraction. However, as Hinduism spread throughout southeast Asia and Indonesia, other ethnic groups adopted Hinduism and added their own ethnic characteristics.

Ksju [112]

Darwin better understood the mechanism for natural selection after he read a book by Thomas Robert Malthus on the rate of growth of populations.

Malthus was an English economist who was concerned with the implications of high population growth. He argued that once the human population outstrip the availability of food and resources, there would start a phase of struggle in which only those with better capabilities and means would survive.

Darwin, after returning from his voyage, read Malthus' work and connected it with his observation of nature. He thought in a similar vein that trait differences in the wildlife population means that those better adapted to the struggles of living in the wild would have a greater chance of survival and procreation.

Ultimately, these survival traits would compound, leading to the evolution of newer species. This provided the basis for Darwn’s influential theory of natural selection.
