English and other Europeans settled primarily in Coastal Plain (Tidewater) and Piedmont regions. Germans and Scots-Irish settled primarily in the Shenandoah Valley, which was along the migration route.
The silk road was a great impact and contributed not just the trading of silk but other goods like grapes clover, walnuts, carrots, pepper, beans, spinach, rare animals, medicinal herbs, flavoring and jewelry, and Chinese porcelains. It was also considered a cultural bridge were many traditions and religions were introduced. They mostly traveled into the western regions.
Egyptians saw their gods as more protective, while people of ancient Mesopotamia viewed their gods as more threatening :)<span>
