Original jurisdiction is the power to hear a case for the first time. Whereas "appellate jurisdiction" is the power to review the decision made by a lower court which may or may not have had original jurisdiction.

How was Simon Bolivar a mean evil or cruel leader??
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]
Simon Bolivar was usually referred to as revolutionary (who freed six countries.) He argued problems of national liberation and fought a war of pure violence. He inspired devotion and dedication. Although some labeled him as a traitor and tried to assassinate him most Spanish Americans wanted him to be there king. So I'm not sure what you mean as a cruel leader but everything I have learned about him is the exact opposite.<span />

Why was the rcc so powerful
Schach [20]
The RCC is so powerful because they have lead the populous since the 1500's on fear. They claimed the ONLY way to get into Heaven was to going to church and you were to pay tithes. The ignorant did not know any better and viewed the Priest as their passport to Heaven. This has been passed down throughout the years and the church was very profitable. Where there is profit, there is power.
