the question does not present the picture, but this does not interfere with the resolution

we know that

if a square has a circle inside and the circle touches all the sides of the square

then

the diameter of the circle is equal to the length side of the square

So

Diameter=52 in

Find the radius of the circle

r=D/2\\ \\ r=52/2\\ \\ r=26in

Find the area of the circle

Area of the circle is equal to

A=\pi *r^{2}

A=\pi *26^{2}

A= 2,122.64 in^{2}

therefore

the answer is

From the square are cut 2,122.64 square inches of cloth

The square has equal sides measuring 52 inches, since the circle inside the square touched the side of the square, that makes the diameter of the circle to have an exact size with the side of the square which is 52 inches. To find out the area or square inches of cloth that was cut from the square, is to find out the area of the circle itself. Using the formula in getting the area of a circle, which is pi multiplied by the radius squared. Represent pi with 3.14 rounded up to the tenths place and multiply it with the radius that would be the half of the diameter of the circle which is 52, you'll get 26 and multiply 26 by 26, you'll have the answer of 2,122.64 square inches.

I need help for this question please!!!!
Arisa [49]

Answer:

a. 35 degrees

b. 145 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

a. Since the two base angles of this triangle are congruent, we can conclude that the triangle is isosceles, which means that the two base angles and sides are congruent.

Now, knowing that information, we can subtract 110 from 180 (the sum of all interior angles in a triangle) and we get 70. But this isn't our answer. This is the sum of both base angles. Since the base angles are congruent, we can divide the 70 by 2 to get the measure of ONE base angle, which is 35 degrees.

b. There are two approaches to solve this problem. I have worked both out.

1) We can use the Exterior Angle Theorem, which states that the sum of the interior angles is equal to the exterior angle. We can add 110 to 35, so we get 145 degrees as the measure of <1.

2) The second approach is supplementary angles. Since we see that one of the base angles and <1 is on the same line, we can subtract 35 from 180 to find the measure of <1 to get 145 degrees.

Either way you use, you get the correct answer. Hope this helped!
