Answer:

Photosynthesis is a complex process associated with the production of food in the form of sugar.

The process begins with the conversion of the sunlight energy to chemical energy through light-dependent reaction which helps the release of the NADPH and ATP. The light-dependent reaction takes place in the thylakoid membrane of the chloroplast.

The intermediate produced is utilized in the light-independent reaction also known as the Calvin cycle which forms the glucose molecule. The glucose molecule is transported to the plant where it undergoes respiration and produces energy.

What is another term for translation ?
HACTEHA [7]

Answer: Another name for translation is protein synthesis.

Explanation: Translation is a biochemical process in which a messenger RNA (mRNA) molecule is used to make a polypeptide chain (protein). Protein synthesis occurs in the ribosome where the ribosome binds to the mRNA strand and interpretes the codons in the mRNA into their corresponding amino acids. A tRNA brings the appropriate amino acid coded for in each codon and attaches it to the growing polypeptide chain.

The polypeptide chain produced undergoes other processes after translation to form proteins.

What is a concentration gradient? (Make sure to include the words: solute, solvent, and solution.)
prisoha [69]

Answer:

Concentration gradient means difference in solute concentration among two regions of a solution.

Explanation:

When there is a difference in solute concentration in the two regions of a solution then the term concentration gradient is used .

Various membrane transport process such as passive transport(diffusion and osmosis),facilitate transport depends on concentration gradient of solute molecule in both sides of plasma membrane.

During passive and facilitate diffusion solute molecules are transported along their concentration gradient that means from high concentration region to the region of low concentration until equilibrium is being established.

zmey [24]

Answer:

The main role of inorganic compound in microbes is the generation of energy in the form of Adenine tri phosphate (ATP) that is required for the growth and reproduction of microorganisms.

Explanation:

Inorganic compound are those in which carbon atom is absent. Many microorganisms especially bacteria, use inorganic compound such as ammonia, hydrogen, ferrous and sulfur etc for the production of energy that is used in different processes and activities such as reproduction and growth.

The definition of theory says that it is a hypothesis or group of hypotheses. In your own words, explain why a theory is also a
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

An in-depth illustration of a natural process that takes place in nature is termed as a scientific theory. After performing a scientific method the formation of a theory takes place. The generation of a good scientific theory takes place after proving, testing, and linking different kinds of ideas that are not just assumptions.

A theory can also be considered as a well-illustrated hypothesis as a scientific theory is a deeply illustrated and a well-substantiated idea that overpowers the restricted illustration of a suggested hypothesis. A theory is an amalgamation of various ideas.

The theory of relativity, which was postulated by Einstein in 1915 is a good illustration of a scientific theory that has been repeated several times. After the emergence in 1915, the theory was again examined in 1919 during the solar eclipse and was afterward examined and tested by different other scientists.
