Answer:

Photosynthesis is a complex process associated with the production of food in the form of sugar.

The process begins with the conversion of the sunlight energy to chemical energy through light-dependent reaction which helps the release of the NADPH and ATP. The light-dependent reaction takes place in the thylakoid membrane of the chloroplast.

The intermediate produced is utilized in the light-independent reaction also known as the Calvin cycle which forms the glucose molecule. The glucose molecule is transported to the plant where it undergoes respiration and produces energy.
