To find the area of a circle, you have to use the area formula:

r being your radius

A = \pi r^{2}

Substitute 1 in for r

A = \pi (1)^{2}

A = \pi

Answer:

π or 3.14

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Set equation to solve for area of a circle.

A=\pi r^2

2. Solve for area of a circle.

A=\pi r^2

A=\pi 1^2

A= \pi

If π is 3.14, you're answer would be 3.14.

Given that A, O & B lie on a straight line segment, evaluate acute
Luba_88 [7]

If the value of x is 10. Then the measure of angle ∠COB will be 56°.

<h3>What is an angle?</h3>

The angle is the distance between the intersecting lines or surfaces. The angle is also expressed in degrees. The angle is 360 degrees for one complete spin.

Linear angle - If the total of two angles is 180 degrees, they are said to be linear angles.

Given that A, O, and B lie on a straight line segment.

Then they make a linear angle that is 180 degrees.

Then we have

     ∠AOC + ∠COD + ∠DOB = 180

(3x + 94) + (x + 30) + (2x - 4) = 180

                               6x + 120 = 180

                                         6x = 60

                                           x = 10

Then the measure of angle ∠COB will be

∠COB = ∠COD + ∠DOB

∠COB = (x + 30) + (2x - 4)

∠COB = (10 + 30) + (20 - 4)

∠COB = 40 + 16

∠COB = 56°

5÷x-4 - 2÷x+2 = 4÷x-4
Alborosie
I'd suggest you begin by subtracting 4 / (x-4) from both sides.  Doing that would leave you with    1 / (x-4)   -     2 / (x+2) =  0.

LCD is (x-4)(x+2).  Mult. all three terms by (x-4)(x+2).  The resulting equation is

x+2 - 2(x-4) = 0.     Then x+2 = 2x - 8  =>  x = 10

Subst. 10 for x in the original equation to verify that 10 is indeed a solution.

Luke hiked 6 1/4 miles . Joana hiked 2 1/5 times as far .How far did Joana hiked
vazorg [7]

Answer:

6 \frac{1}{4} =\frac{25}{4} \\\\2 \frac{1}{5} = \frac{11}{2}\\\\

\frac{25}{4} \times \frac{11}{2} = \frac{275}{8}=34 \frac{3}{8} (Amount Jona hiked)

How do you find x? i know the answer is 8.9 (bc of answer key) but how do i get to that?
murzikaleks [220]

Answer:

x = 8.9

Step-by-step explanation:

We can see in the problem that the diameter is 37.8.

Radius is 1/2 of the diameter.

d = 2r

So in this problem r = 37.8/2 or r = 18.9.

Then you can see that the given side of the triangle is 10.

Since we know that that line is also the radius since it goes from the edge of the circle to the center, we can just subtract 10 from 18.9 to get 8.9.
