Answer: d. all of the above

Ideally, an open class system is based on social mobility that includes horizontal mobility, intergenerational mobility and vertical mobility. Social mobility is an important factor in countries that want to give their citizens equal chances to succeed in life. Social mobility ensures that people can develop their potential and succeed regardless of their origin, their age, their gender, their social class, or any other factor that is outside their control.

An open class system facilitates vertical (or "upward") mobility. This in theory diminishes the extent to which you have to come from a prominent family to succeed financially in life.

9. All of the following statements regarding the assassination of John Kennedy are true except
svp [43]

Answer:

(D) When Lee Harvey Oswald was told by a reporter he had been charged with the assassination he said nothing in response

Explanation:

Based on an interview from Gerald Posner (the journalist of “Frontline”), he said that Oswald’s resentment was not for Kennedy, but about the system. He hated Kennedy because he stood for the system.

He looked down on America and capitalism. When finally Oswald had the chance to shot him, he said that the shot is a symbol for his protest against the prevailing system. Additionally, during the interview, Oswald told to the reporter that he doesn't have any guilt over what happened.

Why was it easier for the Church to side with Galileo in 1992 than in 1633?
hodyreva [135]

In 1633 the views of people overall in sciences and the church were more constricted because what was said was obeyed. 1992 is closer to our time where scientific discoveries were expanded on and investigated, not completely ignored. The Church has been more open to other ideas while still remaining strong to the Catholic tradition in current years as opposed to the 1600s
