Answer:

he tries to calm the nerves of people in the country

Explanation:

America was facing a great crises. The crises was an economic meltdown known as the great depression. Part of the Great depression, that took place soon after the World War I, was caused by the participation in the war in an indirect way. This was when America bailed out Germany some money so that it could be able to repay the damage that it had caused through the War. In this plan, Germany was to manufacture and pay the Americans in due time. In addition, the great depression was caused by the drought that caused agricultural produce to decrease. In this speech, Roosevelt is calming the people. He said that people had nothing to fear except the fear itself and that everything would eventually work out.

bija089 [108]

Answer:

This is an example of territorial marker, more specifically a central marker.

Explanation:

By definition, nonverbal is the communication that takes place without depending on words, written or spoken. It may happen through gestures, body language, looks, attitudes etc.

In the situation we are analyzing here, Kristen is using a nonverbal clue. Without saying a word to anybody, she is communicating that a certain seat is taken by her, and that she intends to return to it. That is an example of a territorial marker, more specifically a central marker.  A central marker is an item that is placed in a territory to reserve it for a specific person.
