Answer:

Length=6 units

Width= 5 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Let, Width=W

Length=L

Width= (L-1) units

Area of the rectangle=30  square units

Area of a rectangle= Length*Width

30=L*(L-1)\\\\30=L^2-L

Subtracting '30' both sides:

L^2-L-30=0\\\\L^2+5L-6L-30=0

Taking common from the equation:

L(L+5)-6(L+5)=0\\\\(L+5)(L-6)=0\\\\L+5=0\\L=-5 units\\\\OR\\\\L-6=0\\L=6 units

The length cannot be negative, therefore: Length=6 units

Width=Length-1

=6-1

=5 units

20 ÷ (5x2/5) + 3 help please
vlabodo [156]

Answer:

13

Step-by-step explanation:

hey take a deep breath! you got this!

it's really simple if you use the format PEMDAS

P- parentheses

E-exponents

M-Muliplication

D-divison

A-addition

S-subtraction

or mostly used

P

E

M or D

A or S

(depends from which side just start Ex 2-1+8 you wouldn't do the plus first but the subtraction because we're going left to right. If it's 2x8-6+10 then we do multiplication first cause that step comes first, the minus then addition! hope that isn't to confusing!)

ok so our equation is 20÷(5x2/5)+3

whats our first step? remember PEMDAS!

Its Parenthesis! so first we do the equation (5x2/5)

since multiplication and division are in the same "category" we go left to right

so first we do 5x2=10 and then we do 10/5 which is equal to 2!

ok now we add back the rest of our equation!

20÷2+3 since we already solved the Parenthesis

now what come first? division or addition?

its division because.. once again... PEMDAS!!

So now we do 20÷2 which is equal to 10!

now whats left is to add 3!

and 10+3 is equal to .... 13!!!

I know it seems like a lot but you'll get the hang of it! just take it easy and take your time :)

butttttt lets put this in human terms

If I am allergic to donuts, then I don't like to eat donuts.

and the inverse is

If I don't like to eat donuts, then I am allergic to donuts.

It is true no matter what! However, there could also be other reasons you don't liek donuts but nonthless this is one true reason that exists bc converse.
