A) we have to calculate the areas of the three triangles and the rectangle.
Area triangle=(base x height) / 2
Area (Triangle₁)=(1.5 ft * 1 ft)/2=0.75 ft²
Area (triangle₂)=(2 ft * 1.5 ft)/2=1.5 ft²
Area (triangle₃)=(1 ft * 0.75 ft) / 2=0.375 ft₂

Area rectangle=(base x height=
Area (rectangle)=5 ft * 0.75 ft=3.75 ft₂

Total area=area of the triangles + area of the rectangle.
Total area=(0.75 ft²)+(1.5 ft²)+(0.375 ft²)+(3.75 ft²)=6.375 ft²

solution: 6.375 ft²

b)
Gray paint:
Area of the triangles=(0.75 ft²)+(1.5 ft²)+(0.375 ft²)=2.625 ft²

1/4 gallon------------------45 ft²
x--------------------------2.625 ft²

x=(1/4 gallon * 2.625 ft²)/ 45 ft²=0.01458... gallons

Two hands=2*(0.01458 gallons)=0.029 gallons≈0.03 gallons.

black paint:
Area of rectangle=3.75 ft²

1/4 gallons---------45 ft²
x------------------3.75 ft²

x=(1/4 gallons * 3.75 ft²) / 45 ft²=0.0208...gallons

two hands=2*(0.0208 gallons)=0.04166 gallons≈0.04 gallons

LetterA) \frac{1}{2}(1.5 ft)(1 ft) + \frac{1}{2}(2 ft)(1.5 ft) + \frac{1}{2}(1 ft)(0.75 ft) + (0.75 ft) (5 ft) = 0.75 ft² + 1.5 ft² + 0.375 ft² = 6.375 ft² ......... LetterB) pyramid area: 0.75 ft² + 1.5 ft² + 0.375 ft² = 2.625 ft² ......... pyramid paint: 2 (2.625 ft²) ( \frac{1 quart}{45 ft^2} ) = 0.12 quart ......... base area: 3.75 ft²; base paint: 2 (3.75 ft²) ( \frac{1 quart}{45 ft^2} ) = 0.17 quart

Anna35 [415]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula for area of a triangle:

Height x Base /2

Base (b) = h +4

Height = h

h + 4 x h /2 = 30cm

=> h +4 x h = 60

=> h+4h =60

=> 5h = 60

=> h = 12

Height = 12

Base = 12 +4 = 16

Answer:

Point H does lie on the graph y = 4.6x - 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Define

y = 4.6x - 7

H(0, -7)

Step 2: Substitute, Evaluate, and Check
