Non living parts of earth's systems provide countless materials to support life. For instances, bricks help build houses, woods do, too. Our note books are made from wood, which is no living.

Thus, earth conditions and the combination of coincidences formed life. So, if earth had not provided the perfect conditions for life to exist we would have never thought about this.
