Hello!

Usually when working with probabilities of this type we do not subtract, so our answer is not A.

As the numerator is divided, or out of something, we do not add it. Therefore C will not be our answer either.

The total number of outcomes is the denominator, so D is incorrect. The favorable outcome is the probability we are thinking of, so four even numbers. 4 is the favorable outcome and the numerator, so the answer is B.

I hope this helps!

Find the slope of each line.

Y= -5/2x — 5
Dmitriy789 [7]
To find the slope of the line, simply remember the basic equation for the slope intercept.

Y = mx +/- b

Where m = slope or rise/run
b = y intercept.

In this case the slope is a negative value and is -5/2.

Mike bought five items for lunch that cost a total of $4.55. Hot dogs cost $1.10 each and cookies cost $0.75 each. Which of thes
Setler79 [48]

Answer:

1.1h+0.75c=4.55---------------1

h+c=5--------------2

Step-by-step explanation:

Step one:

given data

total lunch items= 5

let hot dogs be h

and cookies be c

cost of hot dogs = $1.10

cost of cookies = $0.75

total cost = $4.55

Step two:

The linear model for the total cost is given as

4.55=1.1h+0.75c---------------1

and the model for the number of items is

h+c=5--------------2

The systems of the equation for the situation is

1.1h+0.75c=4.55---------------1

h+c=5--------------2
