Good question. Fertile Crescent had both good climate patterns (weather) for growing crops and good soil. The natural fertility of the soil in Fertile Crescent made agriculture and farming easy. Remember that two rivers bordered the Persians.

What is alluvial soil in the Ganges Plain, and why do farmers like it?
Jlenok [28]
Alluvial soil is fine-grained sediment usually deposited by flowing water. As for why farmers like it, my guess is because it's so fertile. It's fertile because of all the varied particles contained in it, which includes animal waste and decomposing matter. Crops grow better in it.
