A simple random sample of 100 bags of tortilla chips produced at Plant A is selected every hour for quality control. In the curr

ent sample, 18 bags had more chips (measured in weight) than the labeled quantity. This sample information is being compared to data collected at Plant B. In the current sample of 100 bags of chips from Plant B, 12 bags had more chips than the labeled quantity. What is the relative risk that a bag of tortilla chips produced at Plant A had more chips than the labeled quantity as compared to Plant B?

Answer:

Relative Risk = 1.5, so there is a positive association between the two groups so is likely to happen that Plant A has more chips than the labeled quantity as compared to Plant B

Step-by-step explanation:

The relative risk measuers the relationship between the risk group (Plant A) and the reference group (Plant B) in order to compare the probability of an event occurring in one group compared to the other.

It is calculated by dividing the probability of the event occurring for PLANT A divided by the probability of the same event occurring for PLANT B:

Probability for PLANT A = 18/100 = 0.18

Probability for PLANT B = 12/100 = 0.12

So RR= 0.18/0.16= 1.5

You deposit $975.52 in a bank account. Find the balance after 4 years if the account pays 7.25% annual interest compounded quart
sladkih [1.3K]

Answer:

The final ballance will be $1300.37.

Step-by-step explanation:

In this case we have a compounded interest, in order to calculate the final balance we need to use the following formula:

S = P(1 + r/n)^(n*t)

Where S is the final balance, P is the initial investment, r is the rate of interest, t is the time and n is the rate at which it is compounded. Since we have all the values we can directly apply to the formula as follows:

S = 975.52*(1 + 0.0725/4)^(4*4)

S = 975.52*(1.018125)^(16)

S = 975.52*1.333

S = 1300.37

The final ballance will be $1300.37.

What value of n makes the equation true?
1/2 (n + 4) = 6
A. 8
B. -1
C. 2
D. 4
Black_prince [1.1K]
1/2 (8+4)= 6
1/2(-1+4)= 1.5
1/2 (2+4)= 3
1/2 (4+4)= 4

So the correct answer would be A(8)
