PeRIMeter is the RIM around the figure.
P= 5+5+12+12= 34 cm
Area is the dimension of surface inside
A= 5• 12= 60 cm^2

Previous dimensions in feet are
1 cm = 3 feet
12 cm = 3•12= 36 feet
5 cm= 3•5= 15 feet
If you add 2 foot around the pool New dimensions will be
36+2 to the left+2 to the right = 40 feet
15+4= 19 feet
Perimeter = 40•2+19•2= 80+ 38= 118 feet

scores on the act college entrance exam follow a bell-shaped distribution with mean 18 and standard deviation 6. Wayne's standar
WITCHER [35]

Answer:

His actual score is 15

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we are interested in calculating Wayne’s actual score on the ACT

when we say the scores have being standardized, it means the score was reported in terms of the z-score and not the initial raw scores.

Now, mathematically, for the scores to have a negative z-score, it means it is actually below the mean.

The formula for the z-score or standard score is given below;

z-score = (x - mean)/SD

where in this case, x = ? which is the score we are looking for , z-score = -0.5 , mean score = 18 and standard deviation of the scores = 6

So, substituting these values into the z-score equation, we have;

-0.5 = (x-18)/6

x-18 = 6(-0.5)

x -18 = -3

x = -3 + 18

x = 15

It says ( Find the length of the hypotenuse )
~
Pls?
Thanks!
Mashcka [7]

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to solve this problem, we need to use Pythagorem Theorem (a^2+b^2=c^2)

When using the pythagorem theorem the hypoteneuse would be the c^2 and the two other sides would be a and b (the order doesn't matter).

So, our formula would be:

4^2+3^2=c^2

Simplifies into:

25=c^2

In order to remove the exponent 2, we would have to square root both sides by 2. After doing so, you get the answer 5.

Hope this helps! :)
