$\bf \cfrac{\sqrt{16}}{2}-\sqrt[4]{16}\implies \cfrac{4}{2}-\sqrt[4]{2^4}\implies 2-2\implies 0$

recall that the whole numbers is the set of 0,1,2.... onwards

$\bf -\sqrt{36}+\sqrt[3]{125}\implies -\sqrt{6^2}+\sqrt[3]{5^3}\implies -6+5\implies -1$

recall that integers are just whole numbers, positive or negative.
