Paraphrase what Okita’s poem says about the topic of American identity

English

The main idea of Dwight Okita's poems, like the one called Response to executive order 9066, is that cultural heritage and physical appearances do not determine what it means to be american. In those poems, Okita talks more on how the people can experience culture. he expresses this by telling the story about a girl who is overwhelmed by the american culture but that in her trip, she finds comfort and friendship from an american young lady.

Laungage arts any help?! Over Rosetta Stone! Eduinuity assignment trust me not a quiz just stuck!
noname [10]

Answer:

The translation would be confirmed because all of the inscriptions meant the same thing.

Explanation:

The answer is technically in the passage; the text says, "the priests' statement could be read by Egyptians who understood Greek, as well as by those who knew only one or both of the Egyptian languages." Because the inscriptions meant the exact same thing, the statements could be read by multiple people, and the translation would be confirmed.

I hope you kind of understand what I meant...good luck on your assignment and have a wonderful day :3

Why is the ending of "The Lady, or the Tiger?" so effective? How does this ambiguity affect the reader?
muminat
The ending is effective because it gives the reader the choice. It sparks conversation and forces the reader or group to analyze and really think about the story so they can decide how it ends.

What rhetorical strategy is Wiesel using in the passage?(APEX)
UkoKoshka [18]

The correct answer is C: Logos.

In this passage, Wiesel gives a specific example of the cost of indifference. Specifically, thanks to the indifference of the United States, 1000 lives were needlessly lost when a ship was sent back to Nazi Germany.

Answer A can be eliminated because no question is being asked in the passage. Answer B can be eliminated because the exact number killed is mentioned but is not the focus of the passage. Finally, Answer D can be eliminated because he is not retelling a sad story about death.

The main idea of the passage is that the indifference of the US resulted in the deaths of those aboard the St. Louis.
