Stephanie Coontz a professor of history at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington and the chief of Public Education and Research at the Council on Contemporary Families. She is generally a recognized figure and one of the leading personalities on the history of the American family.
According to her book titled <em>"Marriage, A History,"</em> she revealed that by 1978 75% of the population will believe that it was morally fine to be single and have children.
