The correct expression for perimeter is <span>2(l+1/3l). If you solve this for 56; </span><span>2(l+1/3l) = 56. You find that l = 21. If l = 21, then the width is 7, and Area = l * w, so the area of the rectangle is 147 square inches.</span>

Answer:

The two sides we know are O pposite (300) and A djacent (400).

SOHCAH TOA tells us we must use T angent.

How do you write 1 and 1/4
S_A_V [24]
If you mean as an improper fraction, you multiply the whole number by the denominator then add the numerator to get 5/4. If you mean to a decimal, then 1.25.

Check the picture below.

now, notice, each square in the grid is 2 units, so, x = 8, y = 10 and x = 13, y = 5

\bf slope = {{ m}}= \cfrac{rise}{run} \implies &#10;\cfrac{{{ f(x_2)}}-{{ f(x_1)}}}{{{ x_2}}-{{ x_1}}}\impliedby &#10;\begin{array}{llll}&#10;average\ rate\\&#10;of\ change&#10;\end{array}\\\\&#10;-------------------------------\\\\&#10;\qquad &#10;\begin{cases}&#10;x_1=8\\&#10;x_2=13&#10;\end{cases}\implies \cfrac{f(13)-f(8)}{13-8}\implies \cfrac{5-10}{13-8}\implies \cfrac{-5}{5}\implies -1

-1 or -1/1, or -(vertical distance) / (horizontal distance)

the negative means is dropping, and 1/1 means, for every foot going down, it moves farther away from the kicker by 1 foot.

If the triangle shown is translated vertically 3 units and horizontally -4 units graph the image of the triangle
Romashka [77]
Okay so you need to write down all of your original points, for example:
<A (1,1)
<B (3,4)
<C (5,1)
so now for each of those coordinates you would subtract four from each X and add 3 to each Y. For example:
Original Cord.:                             Translated Cord.:
<A (1,1)                                       <A' (-3,4)
<B (3,4)                                       <B' (-1,6)
<C (5,1)                                       <C' (2, 4)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
So just follow my steps but with your points, then graph both the original coordinates and the translated coordinates. AND DON'T FORGET TO LABEL THE POINTS LIKE I DID WHEN GRAPHING!!!!!!!!
