I remember a time in the evening of Spring time, as to when I saw a squirrel pass by. During these times, nuts are sprouting from the trees in my backyard. I observed his movements as this squirrel was digging up his nuts. So, I decided to pick up a closed nut and gently laid my hand down on the grass. Unexpectedly, he moved closer to my hand carefully as he focused on what was in my hand. About 5 minutes later, the squirrel rested in my hand, trying to crack open the nut. It amazed me because it reminds me that before, if you moved a muscle, a squirrel would scurry away. What this squirrel did represented to me about the results of evolution and how animals adapt to living around humans.

Name The three most important problems with the Articles of Confederation (in your opinion)
Anestetic [448]

The main problem of the Articles was that they didn’t give the federal gov the power to tax. Keep in mind that the American Revolution was fought against a central authority who taxed the Americans without their consent—the Americans were loath to create the sane thing for themselves. The newly minted United States of America owed debts to merchants in Europe and its own citizens, butstates disagreed on whose responsiblitiy it was to pay these debts.

Another problem was how easy it was for a state to block legislation. One example would; be when Rhode Island, America’s smallest state, vetoed a tariff that would have helped pay the American debt. The tariff failed and the government was left searching for answers. The Articles required 9 out of 12 states to agree in order to pass legislation.

While there are other prob;es, the finel pron;les is the issue with the Western lands. The U.S gained control over land that went to the Mississippi River after the Treaty of Paros-which was in 1783. Many states claimed land that stretched all the way to this new boundary, and states had conflicting claims over this land. There needed to be a way to allocate this land fairly so that the citizens of these areas would feel as though they were an American citizen as much as someone from the original thirteen colonies.

What is the similarities between our life before and after pandamic?
Lana71 [14]

The coronavirus outbreak has affected our lives once and for all. The way we live, work, and co-exist will never be the same. Australia is doing a much better job compared with the majority of countries around the world. Picturing myself among those who have been victims suffering and frontline heroes made me realize how fragile life can be. In five very short months, my world has changed upside down.

While politicians are throwing stones and blaming one another as hundreds of innovators, entrepreneurs, and change-makers are taking the lead to make a difference, people (including myself) are forced to look at their lives from very different perspectives and double or maybe triple check their values, priorities, and so forth.

My observations and self-reflections for the past five months made me sit down and outline my ideas chronologically, knowing that I may end up becoming the subject of criticism, judgment, hopefully inspiration, or at least respected for writing this piece that calls for action. Here are my thoughts.

Keep the big picture in view and remain flexible

Prior to the pandemic, I had a year plan for what I was going to do, how I was going to do it, where I was going to travel, who I was going to see, what I was going to wear, and who I going to delegate my projects and tasks. I did my best to calculate and analyze my schedule to the tiniest detail.

Switch from hard work to smart work

Prior to the pandemic, I kept myself busy working in my business instead of working on my business. The hours seemed to pass unapologetically, focusing on one particular task that was always a pain in the neck and thousands of messages in English, Chinese, or Chinglish (that is how I poke fun at my friends who speak English with a Chinese mindset). Simply put, I completely buried myself with my full-time and part-time engagements.
