I remember a time in the evening of Spring time, as to when I saw a squirrel pass by. During these times, nuts are sprouting from the trees in my backyard. I observed his movements as this squirrel was digging up his nuts. So, I decided to pick up a closed nut and gently laid my hand down on the grass. Unexpectedly, he moved closer to my hand carefully as he focused on what was in my hand. About 5 minutes later, the squirrel rested in my hand, trying to crack open the nut. It amazed me because it reminds me that before, if you moved a muscle, a squirrel would scurry away. What this squirrel did represented to me about the results of evolution and how animals adapt to living around humans.

In at least 150 words, explain how and why Miller crafted The Crucible as an allegory.
Gnesinka [82]

Arthur Miller crafted The Crucible as an allegory by basing his characters off of real people that went through the Salem Witch Trials. Arthur Miller was called in during the Red Scare and was asked if he ever knew any Communists that threatened America. Miller felt attacked and wrote The Crucible to show how he saw the whole incident. He compared the experience to the court cases in the Witch Trials in which people were forced to betray their friends and family.

If that isn't enough, or what you are looking for, you can finish it, but I have to go so that's all I have right now.

Have a blessed day!

In the world’s broad field of battle, in the bivouac of life, what does the poet suggest about human life with the images in the
Nadusha1986 [10]

The poet suggests about human life with the images in these lines is life is an eternal struggle. Thus, option "A" is correct.

what does the poet suggest about human life with the images in these lines?

Just to elaborate a little on the answer, it can be added that in these two lines the poet is describing life as a broad field of battle and as a bivouac, or temporary encampment, and this suggests struggle, difficulty, and discomfort.

That imagery does not suggest that life is not worth living or that life is mostly unhappy and painful, however. Likewise, it does not mean that life is rarely problematic, but quite the opposite. Comparing life to a battlefield and to a precarious encampment suggests that it is indeed a constant struggle.

Thus, option "A" is correct.
