X² + 10x + 25 = 8
(x + 5)(x + 5) = 8
(x + 5)² = 8
x + 5 = +-√8
x + 5 = +-(√4 × √2)
x + 5 = +-(2√2)

first solution
x + 5 = +2√2
x = -5 + 2√2
x = 2√2 - 5

second solution
x + 5 = -2√2
x = -5 - 2√2
x = -2√2 - 5
