Since no value is given to Eva, we'll call her x. Justin, then, is 7.50+x. That leaves Emma, who would be Justin (7.50+x) -12. If we add them all together we get 63. So our equation is

x + (7.50+x) + (7.50+x)-12 = 63

Combine like terms

x+x+x + 7.50+7.50-12 = 63
3x + 3 = 63
3x = 60
x = 20

Since we said Eva is x then Eva has 20 dollars.

Justin is 7.50 + x so 7.50+20=
$27.50

Emma is Justin - 12 so 27.50-12= $15.50

Let's check our answer...

15.50+27.50+20 = 63
63=63

It checks!

Drupady [299]

Answer:

 • f(x) = 50000*2^x
 • 3 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

 • Initial amount of bacteria = 50000
 • Growth rate = 2 times a day

Required equation:

 • f(x) = 50000*2^x

Solve for x:

 • 400000 = 50000*2^x
 • 2^x = 400000/50000
 • 2^x = 8
 • 2^x = 2^3
 • x = 3

After 3 days bacteria numbers will reach 400000

Charlotte is making 20 flower bouquets 4/5 of the bouquet are daisies and the rest are tulips how many bouquets are tulips
Annette [7]

Answer:

4 bouquets

Step-by-step explanation:

5/5 = 20 flower bouquets.

Find out how much flower bouquets there are when it's 1/5.

5/5 = 20

1/5 = 20 ÷ 5 = 4

Since tulips are 1/5 as 5/5 - 4/5 = 1/5, 4 bouquets are tulips.

Answer:

1. D

2. y = 15.50x + 450

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Since it is a function, the missing pair can't repeat input values with different output, therefore only option D is unique so is the correct choice.

2. x > (y - 450)/ 15.50

i) Rita gets paid $450 per week.

ii) She gets $15.50 for every new membership she sells.

iii) let y represent the total pay per week.

iv) let x represent the number of new memberships sold.

v) the equation representing total pay is y = 15.50x + 450.

vii) therefore the equation that represents a higher rate of membership sold is given by x > (y - 450)/ 15.50
