A pattern of violence and displacement. After the Natives were forced to move to the southern part of the country, the white americans discovered diamonds in the mountains of Texas and gold in California (the gold rush) and again the Natives were violently removed from these parts of the land. The Destiny Manifest played a major part in the mistreatment of the Native Americans in the 1800's.
