Over $12 billion were coordinated to the program that began to work in 1948. The US expected to upgrade success in Western European nations as a way of preventing the spread of socialism from Eastern Europe.
The Berlin Airlift was composed by the Western Allies (Western European countries together with the US) when the Soviets hindered the entrance to West Berlin between 1848-1849, so as to convey supplies there via plane.
