Hello!

The denotative meaning of a word is the official definition. The connotative meaning of a word is simply how it appeals to you and what you think or how you feel when you hear the word.

For bony, the definition is "of or like a bone." This would be the denotation.

The connotation is how you relate to the word. There are many different connotative meanings for the word depending on the person who uses it.

I hope this helps you! Have a great day!

To paraphrase is to reword information so that it still says what was said but in a whole different way through your own words.

Example, you go on this really trustworthy website and you plan on just copying and pasting but which is not allowed, that would be plagiarism... Don't plagiarize, instead read the information and take out the main points and reword it.
