-5=2x+11

Mathematics

This is incorrect. The first part subtracting 11 is correct.
However it should look like this simplifed > 2x+11-11=-5-11 \ \textgreater \  2x=-16

Then you want to divide by 2!

\mathrm{Divide\:both\:sides\:by\:}2 \ \textgreater \  \frac{2x}{2}=\frac{-16}{2}

Once you have done that. You get your final answer!

x = -8

Hope this helps!

Write an exponential function to model the situation.A population of 300 animals decreased at an annual rate of 22%
erastovalidia [21]

Answer:

y = 300(0.78)^x

Step-by-step explanation:

x is the number of years. y is the population after x years.

Each year, the population decreases by 22%, since 100% - 22% = 78%, and 78% = 0.78, each year, the population is 0.78 of the previous year's population.

year zero: y = 300

year 1: y = 300 * 0.78 = 300 * (0.78)^1

year 2: y = (300 * 0.78) * 0.78 = 300 * (0.78)^2

year 3: y = ((300 * 0.78) * 0.78) * 0.78 = 300 * (0.78)^3

year x: y = 300(0.78)^x

While traveling to the office, dolly drives her car at a speed of 60 kmph and then suddenly the car stopped on half of her dista
lisabon 2012 [21]

The average speed of Dolly is 33.33kmph.

Average Speed:

The average speed is defined as the total distance travelled by the object in a particular interval of time. It can be calculated by dividing the total distance travelled by the total time taken.

So, Average Speed = total distance / total time

Here,

Let the total distance is 100 km.

Therefore, consider she will travel 60 km at speed of 60 kmph , 30 km at speed of 30 kmph and 10 km at speed of 10 kmph.

she will required times of 1 hour, 1hour and 1hour

So,

Average speed = 100 / (1 + 1 + 1)

=> 100 / 3 = 33.33

At a craft store, fabric comes in bolts that are a fixed number of inches wide.
kykrilka [37]
Hi, thank you for posting your question here at Brainly.

To solve this, you have to know the conversion factors.

1 yard = 3 ft = 36 inches

Thus,

48 inches * (1 yard/36 inches) = 1.33 yards

This means that you need to buy at least 2 yards per bolt.
