Answer:While communism is a system based around a theory of economic equality and advocates for a classless society, fascism is a nationalistic, top-down system with rigid class roles that is ruled by an all-powerful dictator. Both communism and fascism originated in Europe and gained popularity in the early to mid 20th century.

Answer:

Let´s list some common elements and differences.

Similarities:

- Totalitarian ideology and a political system that excludes any other ideology or model of social and political organization

- One-party system with a top, absolute leader , truly a dictator

- Mass mobilization around the party and the great leader

- Personality cult of the great leader

- Both justify the use of violence for achieving their purposes

Differences

- Fascim is extremely conservative, an expression of the extreme right. Communism is radical leftist expression

- Fascim puts the nation first. Communism can even destroy the nation, it puts the proletariat first (the dictatorship of the proletariat) in theory, though it´s actually a bureaucratic party elite that holds real power

- Fascim speaks of racial and national superiority and domination; communism intends to replace social classes with an egalitarian society.
