Answer:

True, Medieval manors were nearly self-sufficient.

Explanation:

  • During the early middle ages, the manors were mostly self-sufficient.
  • Many peasants never went more than a few miles from their villages.
  • The peasants who lived the villages produced almost everything of their need clothes, food, furniture, and other necessary tools.
  • They had no knowledge and no schooling in the larger outside world.
  • A typical manor included cottages and huts clustered close together in the villages.

The medieval manors were meant to be as self-sufficient as possible.  Over time, the people wanted more things that couldn't be made locally i.e. within the manor and they became less self sufficient because they decided to go other places to get the things they wanted.

So I would say False.

What problems might there be with using Viking myths as historical sources?
ipn [44]
This is the same problem as using any myths as historical sources: they are not reliable. Myths are often created as a story, for the purpose of story-telling, or to make a point, and people would find it appropriate to change myths to be in accordance with the views of the time, making them a biased, and therefore not reliable, source.
