ANSWER:

On an average, the truck traveled approximately 15.8 miles per each gallon.

SOLUTION:

Given, a truck travels 301 miles on the gas of 19 gallons.

Then, total distance traveled = 301 miles

Total number of gallons of gas used = 19 gallons

We need to find miles traveled per gallon on an average.

Now, miles traveled per gallon = \frac{total distance traveled}{total number of gallons of gas used}

Miles traveled per gallon = \frac{301}{19} = 15.842

Rounding to nearest tenth place. Here “8” is in the tenth place. The number which is to right of 8 is 4 which is less than 5. So the numbers to right of 8 disappears and we get solution as 15.8

On an average, the truck travelled approximately 15.8 miles per each gallon.

The sum of 3 times a number and 7 is 25
hammer [34]

Mathematically written:

3 * x + 7 = 25

3x + 7 = 25

3x = 25 - 7

3x = 18

x = 18 / 3

x = 6

Proof:

3 * 6 + 7 = 25

18 + 7 = 25

25 = 25 → both sides of the equation are equal, our answer is correct

Can someone help me learn to solve this?
kondaur [170]

Answer:

x = 110°

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that AB = AD then Δ ABD is isosceles and the base angles are congruent, that is

∠ ABD = ∠ ADB = 35°

The sum of the 3 angles in the triangle = 180°, that is

x + 35° + 35° = 180°

x + 70° = 180° ( subtract 70° from both sides )

x = 110°

There is a machine with 8 toys in it that each cost between 25 cents and 2 dollars, with each toy being 25 cents more expensive
aksik [14]

It is actually quite simple: they are asking for the probability:

there are different types of items and each types there is always at least a 25 cent difference in between (if you go up the or down the scale there will be a 25 cent difference to each type of item. They say that Sam wants to get one of the 8 items. The price at this point doesn't matter. If he wants 1 of the 8 types all you have to do is convert it into a fraction: 1/8. That is the answer

Hope I helped...
