If they choose not to then their data will not be collected, if they choose yes, then their data will be collected. All the social phycology research was collected from users and/or people who agreed to be users of collected data. With that being said, if you allow your data to be collected, if you allow random people to see how you operate as a human, then you're willing to have that data used to give you adds that you might actually want.
