since the original price was ninety we have to multiply 5/6 by 90
90/1(5/6)
=450/6
=75

Couldn't you go 1/6 x $90. 1/6 being the sale price because 5/6 + 1/6 = 6/6 which is the whole price. 1/6 = 0.166 as a decimal so you would multiply 90 x .16 = 14.40. then $90.00 - 14.40 = 75.60 for the sale price.

3-1/8a=1/4

Pleasseeee help
Vika [28.1K]
3 - 1/8a = 1/4

The goal is to isolate "a" and its coefficient to make the simplification process easier.

Start by subtracting 3 from both sides:

3 - 3 - 1/8a = 1/4 -3

-1/8a = 1/4 - 3

Next, multiply 3 by 4/4 to convert it into a fraction:

-1/8a = 1/4 - [3 • (4/4)]

-1/8a = 1/4 - 12/4

-1/8a = - 11/4

Multiply both sides by -8:

(-8) -1/8a = - 11/4 (-8)

a = 88/4 = 22

Therefore, a = 22.

The length of a new rectangular playing field is 4 yards longer than triple the width. if the perimeter of the rectangular playi
jasenka [17]
The length is 4 yards longer than 3width so L = 3W+4
perimeter equal 408 yards

perimeter equal 2L +2W = 2(3W+4)+2W

408 = 6W +8 +2W
400=8W

W = 50

L = 3*50 +4 = 154

L = 154
W = 50

P = 2L +2W
408 = 2*50 +2*154
408 = 100 +308
408 = 408

hope that this is easy understandably
