It's important because in a person's life, there will be things that are risky (hard). There will be options in your life that you will need to make. There also things you may need to be aware of, so not every time you may be lucky.
Be cause we are in a consumer society ruled by advertisements to buy always more, because most of devices aren't made to last and being repaired, but to make us buy new ones....new cell phone, new household appliances etc...
We have to be aware of this and we must have the choice not to be part of this at a whole matter.
If something stops working, we buy another one....that's it !!!! There are many other solutions if you are aware and make other choices..
