He answered 87% of the social studies questions correctly.

He answered 72% of the total questions correctly.  0.72(200) = 144; therefore he answered 144 questions correctly.

Math questions were 45% of the total test; 0.45(200) = 90; there were 90 math questions on the test.  This means there are 200-90=110 social studies questions on the test.

He answered 53.3% of the math questions correctly; 0.533(90)=48 correctly answered math questions.

Since he correctly answered 144 questions total, there were 144-48=96 social studies questions he answered correctly.

96/110 = 0.872 = 87% of social studies questions answered correctly.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the sample size will be:

= n

The given values are:

Standard deviation,

= 1.4

ME,

= 0.3

As we know,

⇒ n=(Z \frac{a}{2}\times \frac{SD}{E})^2

On putting the estimated values, we get

⇒    =(2.17\times \frac{1.4}{0 .3})^2

⇒    =(\frac{3.038}{0.3})^2

⇒    =102.5494 \sim 102

Find the quotient and reduce to lowest terms: ((x²-4)/(3x)) ÷ ((x-2)/(2x)).
DENIUS [597]

Answer:   2/3 * (× + 2 )

Step-by-step explanation:

((x²-4)/(3x)) ÷ ((x-2)/(2x)).          ⇒   [ ( ײ - 4 ) * 2x ] ÷ [ ( × - 2 ) *3x ]

Simplifying by x   [ 2 * ( ײ - 4 ) ] ÷ [ ( × - 2 ) *3 ] ⇒ (2/3)*{ [ ( x-2 )*(×+2)]÷ (×-2) }

Simplifying by ( ×+2)     2/3 * (× + 2 )
