15% of 15% of 15% of 500 is 1.6875. 45% of 500 is 225. The difference between both numbers is that 225 is much larger than 1.6875. In fact 225, is 133 1/3 times larger than 1.6875. The more you repeated 15% of a number, the smaller it got, compared to 45% of the number, where it was larger than that number you kept reducing by percentages.

Derivative of g(x) = 3x^2(x^2-(2/x))
Elza [17]

When you are doing derivatives, you don't want to do it right away because there is still ( ) we need to remove that first get,

g(x)=3x^4-6x

Now we can do the derivatives!

g(x)=12*x^3 - 6

I hope this helps!

1. A construction company is planning to bid on a building contract. The
levacccp [35]

Answer:

The expected value of construction company is $30500.

Solution:

Given, A construction company is planning to bid on a building contract.

The bid costs $1,500 and has an 80% chance of being accepted.

If accepted, the company will receive $40,000 dollars.

We have to find the expected value.

We know that,

Expected value = probability \times amount gained by bidding – bid amount

Expected value = 80% x 40000 – 1500

Expected value = 0.8 x 40000 – 1500

Expected value = 32000 – 1500

Expected value = 30500

Hence, the expected value is $30500.
